Ash Wednesday Collection for the Needs of Our Missions

The Ash Wednesday Collection is taken up each year to support the mission churches in the Archdiocese of Grouard-McLennan. Many of these churches are in need of repairs and it is difficult for the parishioners to provide the funds. With your help, the Archdiocese can make sure that the repairs and renovations in one or two missions can be done each year.

In 2015, we spent $38,000 on repairs at Little Flower Mission, Fox Lake, replacing the roofs and eavestroughing of the rectory and church. Your generous donations to the Ash Wednesday Collection 2015 helped us to achieve this project.

Where will we be able to do much-needed work and how much will we be able to spend in 2016? It all depends on your generosity!

Ash Wednesday, February 10, 2016

You will find specially marked envelopes for the Ash Wednesday collection in your church and in the boxed envelopes distributed by parishes every year. In addition to the collection taken up at the Ash Wednesday Mass or service, you can put your donation into the collection taken up at the Sunday liturgy on the weekend before or the weekend after Ash Wednesday.
